Research in the field of healthcare or body
structure is done to find the reason something undesirable
is happening with bodies so one can fix it and have the
bodies working correctly (healthy). It is an investigation to find a
WHY.
A correct WHY is not just a reason something happens. A truly
correct WHY gives the basic reason something is not working
as it is supposed to work and leads you to being able to correct
it. So, if someone tells you why something is happening
and it does not lead to being able to fix it......what do you
do? Read on.
To truly understand what a "why" is it is helpful to define
a few other words.
You may think I am starting a bit too basic but these
basic investigation principles are not recognized by most
of the researchers in the healthcare field of structural healing.
That is why, until now, body mechanics have not been figured out to the
point doctors could consistently and predictably fix peoples
bodies. Here are the words:
IDEAL SCENE = something that is exactly as desired.
OUT = When something is "out" that something is not as it should
be. Example: Something must be out with that persons
body because they have back pain.
OUTPOINT = something that is not as it should be to accomplish
a desired end. Example: He understands how it works but just
cant seem to get the job done. This is an outpoint because
someone who truly understands something can do it.
OUTNESS = a condition of something being wrong, incorrect
or missing. This is a noun. Example: The outpoint above results
in the outness of "cant seem to get the job done".
Now we can define a WHY in healthcare research.
A WHY in healthcare research = a basic outness found in the
body which, when corrected, leads to restoration of health.
Health of a body is an ideal scene it is not just some idealistic
thing that cannot be reached. A healthy body can be exactly defined: HEALTH BODY
= a body operating optimally = a body operating the best it
is possible for a body to operate. (This is not the best it
can operate under the some type of circumstances, whatever
those circumstances may be, but operating the best possible
period.)
A WRONG WHY and BEING REASONABLE
Before I go on I would like to define a WRONG WHY and REASONABLE.
WRONG WHY = a proposed outness that, corrected, does not
lead to the restoration of health to a body not functioning
optimally.
REASONABLE = Accepting an answer for why something is out
though correcting that point does not lead to correction of
the outness. Basically it is accepting a WRONG WHY and not
going further to find the right Why.
As you can see, BEING REASONABLE means you either have some
excuse for not accomplishing the goal you set out to accomplish
or you have accepted some excuse from someone else about not
being able to accomplish the goal you or they set out to do.
You can see from this that any reason, or any WHY, that does
not lead to being able to accomplish your goal is a WRONG
WHY. You might run into many wrong whys when trying to
get something corrected, but anyone accepting a WHY that does not immediately lead
to a way to accomplish their goal is committing the most horrible
of sins, BEING REASONABLE. Why is BEING REASONABLE the most
horrible of sins? Because it leaves you never able to accomplish
your goal.
Given these definitions one can see that a research project
on structural health would lead to two very basic things.
SENIOR DATUM
A datum is a piece of information. A SENIOR DATUM is a piece
of information that is senior to, or of greater importance
than, other data (information). When you look at all the data
available about the body and its workings you can quickly
get dizzy because there is so much data. This is why doctors
often seem uncertain as to what to recommend. BUT, how much
of that data is important? And, how much is just information
not relevant to getting a body fixed? Much more than anyone
thinks. 99% of the data about how body structure works (body
mechanics) is useless in fixing bodies. The other 1% might
be interesting to look at but there are just about a dozen
pieces of truly important data when it comes to really getting
bodies structurally corrected.
One of the most important concepts you can learn is that
there important data and data that will just take up your
time and not get you where you want to go. Keep the important
ones and throw away the rest or keep them tucked away on the
side where they will not interfere with your work.
The truth is that if you have the SENIOR DATA about how something
works you can easily demonstrate why and how all the other
effects occur and change them at will.

discussion of how to do investigations and logic see the
Investigations section of the Scientology Handbook (best
source for investigations you will find anywhere.)
What No One Else Wanted To Look At
When I am asked how I figured all these things out I tell
the truth: I decided the body was a physical object no different
than a car or other machine in the physical universe (though
there is a person operating the body) and that like any other
physical machine, the only reason you could not fix one was
that you did not understand how it worked.
Since there were no owners manuals to describe how
the body worked and no one else had any consistently workable
answers as to how it worked and how to fix bodies, I decided
there must be basic things unknown about how the body worked.
I then set out to discover them. The way I did that was by
being willing to look at things no one else seemed to look
at.
The first thing no one seemed to want to look at was that
the theories being used must have a WRONG WHY because the
methods of treatment based on those theories worked/work well
on a few people. On some people, the effectiveness of those
treatments was/is mediocre and on the majority of people those
treatments were/are ineffective (do not work at all) or make
the patients worse.
If you think this is not true, you are wrong. The above paragraph
is why there are so many people taking over-the-counter drugs
or taking their friends' prescriptions and the like rather
than going to doctors. They either tried enough or heard enough
to know what is being done does not work in most cases. Most
chiropractors, physical therapists and doctors do not get
to know this because the patients tell them they are doing
well so as not to make the practitioner feels bad. The insurance
companies know it though. They are the ones who see a patient
go from doctor to physical therapist to chiropractor to another
chiropractor etc.
Some of the discoveries about bodies that were not and for
the most part, still are not considered when treatments are
developed or actually done are:
The bones of a body are like a gear system in that they all
work together. They work together to hold the body upright
and have it be able to recover to that upright position from
any change.
When in an ideal state the bones are working together as
a lever system that holds the body upright with no muscular
effort. The muscles are used to move the body and return it
to an upright position from any other position but not to
maintain an upright posture. ("Everyone knows" the
bones are all connected and work together there is
even a song about it. However, when was the last time someone
looked at your neck for a back pain condition or visa versa?)
We of course, do not expect to find a body functioning in
an absolutely ideal way in life, but that is the Ideal Scene.
(Nevertheless, from the photos on the first page of this web
site that are all taken with the person completely relaxed,
you can see we get very close. Most of those after pictures
were taken after I told the person, "Breathe in breathe
out and let your body relax and slump. Come on, let your body
really go relaxed." They usually answered, "I am
totally relaxed. It doesnt slump anymore! At which point
I took the picture.)
Another point is that since the bones all work together as
a synchronized lever system holding the body upright, any
change in one area will immediately change things everywhere
in the body. (Synchronized does not just mean working together
it means working together at the same time, syn = together,
chrono = time).
You can test this sitting right there. Relax your body. Making
sure the rest of your body stays still and does not twist,
notice how far your head goes when you turn it to the right.
Notice how far it turns, not how it feels, and be sure your
body does not turn also. Do it again. Then do the same thing
to the left.
Next, starting with your head straight and not moving anything
but your toes, scrunch your toes up tightly (like making a
fist with your toes). While your toes are scrunched redo the
turn your head test without letting your body twist. Almost
all of you will notice a change in how far you can move your
head. Some will turn more, some less (most of those who do
not notice a difference are cheating and moving their bodies
as the difference and not noticing that is how they are turning
their head the same distance).
The point is not that your turn more or less. The point is
that scrunching your toes affected how much your neck and
head move even though you are sitting and the toes are not
part of your bodys weight bearing circumstance. Everything
works together and any change affects everything else in the
body even if it is just a little. How any one thing affects
anything else in the body depends upon how mechanically sound
(how well aligned) your body is.
One of the most SENIOR DATA is that the meninges act as a
large elastic stabilizer going from the coccyx (tail bone)
to the skull. Acting as such they transmit mechanical stress
on any part of the spinal column throughout the spinal column.
This is yet another reason you cannot look at any one area
of the spinal column as a separate thing. The entire column
works together as a single synchronized functioning unit.
There are not exceptions to this.
If a chiropractor or any other type of doctor just takes
x-rays of your neck he might know that the bones are misaligned
(radiologists do not generally believe anything is misaligned
unless it is so far out of place it is completely dislocated
so their opinions are not to be trusted at all);
And, he might be able to tell if there are bone spurs or
degeneration due to mechanical pressure on the bones (they
call that arthritis, which is Latin for arthro = joints, -itis
= inflamed which means it describes nothing but the appearance
of the joints and is another way of BEING REASONABLE about
not being able to fix body mechanic);
And, he might say many different things but the truth is
that she/he cannot tell what is happening mechanically unless
they look at the entire spine in more than one position so
they can see how the spine is changing and from that figure
out what is happening mechanically with the spinal column.
Actually, if your doctor is a chiropractic doctor using Advanced
BioStructural Correction he or she might not even need
x-rays to find and correct your body though each doctor must
determine that for each patient.
